Easy Cocktail Meatballs - Perfect For a Football Party

Image
Easy Cocktail Meatballs!  A family favorite.  They are perfect for any type of social gathering.  I traditionally have them on Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.  They are a main stay in our family.  So during football season I had to post the recipe.  Super super easy. So here is the recipe. Easy Cocktail Meatballs Ingredients 1 Frozen package of cocktail meatballs (Trader Joe’s) 1 jar of Heinz Chili sauce 1 jar of Grape Jelly Instructions Cook the meatballs according to instructions.  I then place the meatballs into a crock pot.  Add equal amounts of chili sauce and grape jelly in also (I personally like a little more chili sauce than jelly, but find what you like).  Heat until the chili sauce and grape jelly are hot.  Serve while hot.  Easy Simple Enjoy I am posting the photo of the ingredients so you can see what I used.

Easy Chicken and Vegetable Soup

This is an easy and simple chicken and vegetable soup in a slow cooker.  It has a teaspoon of curry in it that to my tastebuds is undetectable but adds a little something something to the soup.  I hope you enjoy this delicious soup now that we are heading in to colder weather.  I consider this a very healthy soup. Here is the recipe. Easy Chicken and Vegetable Soup Ingredients 1 - 1 1/2 pounds skinless boneless chicken thighs 4 cups low sodium chicken broth 3 medium carrots sliced 2 stalks celery sliced 1 medium onion chopped 1 teaspoon curry powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup frozen peas Instructions In a slow cooker place chicken, broth, 2 cups water, carrots, celery, onion, curry, and salt.  Stir. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.  Shred the chicken and add the peas.  Cook 10 mins longer for the peas.  Serve.  Easy!  Enjoy!! (I found this recipe on Food Network Kitchen.  I have made it a lot easier.  Simplified it

Easy Macaroni and Cheese

Image
This is one of my favorite recipes.  I know I say that about almost everything that I post, but it is true.  I have made this many many times.  Here is an important thing to remember - salt.  This tastes awful with out salt.  I made that mistake once, years ago, and my family still teases me about it. Here is the recipe. Easy Macaroni and Cheese Ingredients 8 oz uncooked macaroni 3 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups milk 2 cups shredded medium cheddar cheese Instructions Cook macaroni per package instructions.  Drain.  In same large pot add butter, flour and salt stirring until bubbling. Add milk stirring constantly until boils stirring the entire time.  Remove from heat - stir in cheese.  When it is melted stir the macaroni back in.  Heat through.  Basic recipe was from Pillsbury Kitchen’s Family Cookbook (I can not find a year - my cookbook is held together with duct tape but my guess is late 1970’s)

Easy Chili and Cream Cheese Dip - Football Party

Image
This is even easier than the chili I make.  Two ingredients - Dennison's Original Chili and block of Philadelphia Cream Cheese.  This one is so simple - just heat the can of chili in a pan.  When it is hot add the block of cream cheese.  When the cream cheese is hot enough to stir - stir it in to the chili.  That is it.  I serve with Tostitos scoops!!!!  Enjoy - my family loves this. Have fun.
